Webb26 sep. 2016 · Yes, macros will run as long as they don't try to perform a forbidden activity. Your macro is trying to change the protection of the workbook which is forbidden when it is shared. The UserInterfaceOnly setting is transitory. It only is in effect when the workbook is open and the setting is lost once closed.

What I am seeing is that it will not prompt the user about overwriting existing files on One Drive. It does locally, but on One Drive it overwrites them without prompting.
